Founder’s Message
A very happy new year to you from Theatre Thoughts! For those of you who are new to the newsletter, my name’s Justin and I am the founder and content coordinator of Theatre Thoughts.

The past few years have seen Theatre Thoughts grow from a bourgening desire to actively engage in theatre, dipping my toe in the larger world of independent and professional theatre, into a regular voice for the artists and productions in Sydney, Melbourne and the international stages.

Last year, I took Theatre Thoughts global at the world famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where we experienced the best of theatre in all its forms - musicals, dance, comedy, vaudeville, cabaret, stand up and improv.

We also had one of our biggest guests over on the Theatre Thoughts Podcast, STEPHEN SCHWARTZ (creator of Wicked and Godspell) which you can listen to in the links below.

What will this year hold for Theatre Thoughts? Well now that I’ve very neatly consolidated our little site amongst the literary reviewers in Sydney and Melbourne, it’s time to focus on strengthening what we do best. That is, bringing you the latest reviews and theatre news, connecting you with the best artists, creators and innovators in the theatre community, and offering you exclusive giveaways - like the one we have available for our subscribers in this very newsletter!

Not yet a subscriber? Fear not, it takes two seconds to sign up and you get to be part of the excitement.

I look forward to brining you all more from the best of the theatre world right here in Australia in 2024, and if you feel like getting more involved, we have many ways:

- Support the podcast by subscribing to our Patreon for only $3/mth
- Flex your muscles and see more theatre by joining our team of writers in Sydney or Melbourne
- Enquire about our new videography packages to promote your production in 2024 and explore our media kit

I hope you have a great start to the new year and please enjoy the January newsletter!

Justin
